Bio
Anya Taylor, (she/her) is currently pursuing her BFA in painting at Maine College of Art & Design, Portland, and will graduate in the spring of 2026. Born and raised in Vermont, Taylor’s work often references her memories of the slow paced life of a quiet town. Now residing in Portland, Maine, her artistic journey continues through her studies at MECA&D, where she has access to many different communities and opportunities. Taylor is passionate about the importance of mental health. Through journaling and self-care routines, Taylor is able to process her current struggles while staying true to her inner child. Living with her sweet kitty, Peaches, Taylor finds comfort in snuggling with her “furry daughter.” Also, Taylor often enjoys taking long walks to East End Beach, to swim in the frigid salt water, which makes her feel alive.
